Palina, a practice of some religion to make a smoke to signify purification. Like those ritual rites in church through insenso. Another one is going out from a cemetery making a small fire/smoke to signify, “leave bad vibes” there. “Palina” isn’t limited to the two above but also traditionally practiced in any aspect as purification or nullification of something.
