Bisdak Words

Adapted from tagalog word, lamon means to eat a lot. “Lamon lang ng lamon.” Opposite is “timo”.

Timo means to have a light meal, eat a little or snacks.

“Daitol” means touch a small part, like a knife pointed near the side (of the body). Related bisaya term is “Dul-it”.

Eskina or iskina or just skina means street corner, an alley.

Dalagang ulay or dagang ulay means unwed old woman.

This bisaya word “angol” means is accidentally included. Another bisaya term is “naangin”.

We have heared “lintunganay or ang lintunganay sa istorya..” this means where is the story or news progressing into.. or simply means, the bottomline.

Tambol denotes a drum or more precisely a bass drum. “Tambol” in bisaya could denote “tambok” something that is fat and big.
