
It’s fun to know there are food menu or dishes that actually originates or termed in Bisaya. Here are some of them to name. Of course we are not selling anything, so don’t attempt to order from us, lol! This article is to introduce Bisaya Menu, nothing more.
Lechon Cebu – roasted pig, crispy skin, very flavorful (no sauce needed)
Humba – sweet braised pork with soy sauce, vinegar, and banana blossoms
Pochero Bisaya – beef soup with saba banana and vegetables
Adobong Bisaya – drier and more garlicky than the usual adobo
Larang (pork version) – sour-spicy soup (usually fish but can be pork)
Kinilaw – raw fish marinated in vinegar, ginger, chili (like Filipino ceviche)
Tinolang Isda – fish soup with ginger and leafy greens
Sinugbang Isda – grilled fish, often served with spicy dipping sauce
Larang (fish) – famous sour fish soup from Cebu
Balbacua – rich, gelatinous beef stew (slow-cooked for hours)
Batchoy (Visayan style) – noodle soup with pork and organs
Tinola (Bisaya version) – often stronger in ginger flavor
Puso (Hanging Rice) – rice wrapped in woven coconut leaves
Pancit Molo (Visayan influence) – dumpling soup (popular in Visayas)
Bam-i – mix of canton and sotanghon noodles with meat and veggies
Ngohiong – Cebu-style spring roll with five-spice flavor
Siomai sa Tisa – famous steamed dumplings from Cebu
Tuslob Buwa – dipping dish made from pork brain/sauce
Otap – crispy puff pastry biscuit
Rosquillos – ring-shaped cookies
Masareal – sweet peanut candy from Cebu
Bibingka Bisaya – softer and sweeter than the Tagalog version
