List of Philippine National Symbols

A national symbol is what represent te Philippines in terms of traditions and ideals and convey the principles of sovereignty and national solidarity of the Filipino people. Some of these symbols namely the national flag, national sports and etc. Listed below are the National Symbols of the Philippies. National Language – Filipino
National Flag – the Philippine Flag
National anthem – Lupang Hinirang
National flower – Sampaguita (Jasminum sambac)
National tree – Narra (Pterocarpus indicus)
National bird – Philippine eagle (Pithecophaga jefferyi)
National gem – Philippine pearl (Pinctada maxima)
National martial arts – Arnis (Eskrima)
National sports – Sipang Takraw

Anahaw – national leaf
Bakya – national slippers
Adobo – national food
Bangus –  national fish
Barong and Baro’t saya – national costume
“Bayan Ko” – national song
Carabao – national animal
Cariñosa – national dance
Jeepney – national vehicle
Jose Rizal – national hero
Mango – national fruit
Manila – national capital
Nipa hut (bahay kubo) – national house
